This is what it's all about
During science camps held at KIT during school breaks, students gain in-depth insights into various STEM disciplines. The camps aim to inspire young participants to take an interest in STEM subjects by giving them the opportunity to immerse themselves in various scientific disciplines and actively participate for a week alongside experts from KIT. This successful program, which has been running since 2009, significantly promotes young STEM talent and creates a valuable link between schools, science, and society. It arouses curiosity, encourages creative thinking, and trains tomorrow's experts. With camps focusing on geothermal energy, electrical engineering, physics, and robotics, there's something for everyone - and no chance of boredom!
What we want to achieve
The science camps aim to spark an interest in STEM subjects among schoolchildren at an early stage in their careers. The project significantly contributes to the promotion of young STEM talent and creates a valuable link between schools, science, and society. The camps awaken curiosity, promote creative thinking, encourage teamwork, and train tomorrow's experts. The unique concept promotes not only scientific development within the camp but also social development.

At the Geothermal Energy Camp, younger students explore the secrets of the Earth, from volcanoes to fossils.

Electrical Engineering Camp: Middle school students enthusiastic about technology develop small projects based on a given topic, such as "smart homes" this year.

Physics Camp: This camp offers older students an ideal opportunity to explore complex physical constructs, such as the Higgs particle.

Robotics Camp: Creative minds build and program their own robots to learn the fundamentals of automation.
