What does KIT Foundation do?

KIT Foundation supports KIT's important contributions to the fields of energy, mobility, and information. The foundation promotes scientific and technical infrastructure, exceptional research and teaching, and promising young talent. Funds are used exclusively for the purposes specified in the statutes. KIT Foundation is transparent and efficient. It is open to all interested parties and offers innovative forms of engagement. The foundation is financed by investment income and donations. Successful projects include the Young Investigator Group "Green Mobility" (2014–2022), "Green Synthetic Fuels" (2018–2021), and "GRASPING THE PICTURES OF ECO-FUTURES" (2022–2024).

KIT Foundation is represented by an honorary board of directors. The board is responsible for managing the foundation. 

KIT Foundation's board of trustees, comprised of representatives from politics, business, and society, advises the board of directors. The board of trustees monitors compliance with the founder's wishes and the directors' management.

At the honorary meeting of KIT Foundation's founders, sponsors gain detailed insights into the foundation's activities. This committee includes founding sponsors and other honorary members who provide exceptional support to KIT Foundation and KIT
