On July 4, KIT celebrated a special dinner with employees, students, alumni and long-standing supporters as part of its anniversary year. In summery weather and a festive atmosphere, the campus became a meeting place - crowned by a spectacular drone show over the Karlsruhe night sky.

In 2025, KIT celebrates its 200th anniversary under the motto “We shape the future. Research. Teaching. Transfer.” The anniversary year opened on Thursday, 20 February 2025 with a festive ceremony, welcoming more than 2,000 guests from the worlds of politics, business and science.
This year's Germany Scholarship award ceremony took place at KIT on 5 December 2024. The scholarships were awarded to 345 outstanding students in a festive ceremony.
