KIT is a melting pot of research, innovation and creativity. Outstanding students and researchers with diverse strengths and backgrounds come together here to make a difference. We are justifiably proud of them, because they make KIT what it is: an internationally renowned research university that contributes solutions to the pressing global challenges of our time. To nurture our talent, our programmes go beyond traditional academic support. We believe that true excellence is achieved not only through textbooks, but also through the opportunity to put ideas into action and shape the world. This is where talent development opens up new possibilities. It enables our students and researchers to go beyond themselves through additional funding.

In this section you will find upcoming, ongoing and completed projects related to talent at KIT. Let's shape the future together by promoting excellent minds!

German public-private scholarship

The German public-private scholarship provides financial support to exceptionally talented and dedicated students at KIT. This scholarship opens new avenues and opportunities in everyday student life, allowing students to reach their full potential and benefit from networking and the knowledge and advice of sponsors.

Leadership Talents

At KIT, we support committed students on their path to value-oriented leadership through the Leadership Talent Academy (LTA) and the Leadership Talent Lab (LTL). Both programs provide opportunities for personal growth and interdisciplinary exchange, offering a practical and future-oriented approach. The LTA is a scholarship program that provides master's and doctoral students with intensive support over several months. The LTL offers these opportunities to the entire student body through shorter, more accessible workshop formats. Together, these programs strengthen the leaders of tomorrow based on reflective values and personal development.

Alumni4Students

The Alumni4Students project brings KIT students and alumni together in innovative ways through various formats. During a weekend seminar, both groups learn about coaching approaches based on positive psychology that help build personality. They also discover how to grow personally and develop in line with their own values and goals, even in uncertain times..

OpenEmboss

The OpenEmboss project aims to develop an affordable, open-source embossing printer for blind individuals. Such printers convert graphic and textual information into a tactile format, but commercially available printers are often too expensive. The project aims to provide an affordable, accessible alternative to facilitate access to important graphic information in schools and universities.

Science Camps@TRIANGEL Kids Lab

During the science camps held at KIT during school breaks, students gain in-depth insights into various STEM disciplines. The camps aim to inspire young participants to take an interest in STEM subjects by giving them the opportunity to immerse themselves in various scientific disciplines and actively participate for a week alongside experts from KIT. This project significantly contributes to the promotion of young STEM talent and creates a valuable link between school, science, and society.
