Night of Excellence - Award for some donors

As part of the Night of Excellence on 17.03.2026, KIT honored and awarded people who are committed to KIT not only in the past but also in the present. Among them were some of our most committed sponsors. We would like to thank them for their trusting cooperation.

Lilian Knobel, Managing Director for Education and Science Communication at the Klaus Tschira Foundation, was honored on behalf of the entire donor family.

Wolfgang Grenke, KIT alumnus, founder of Grenke AG and long-standing member of the KIT Foundation Board of Directors, was honored for his active networking of business and science.

Dr. Thomas Schneider, KIT alumnus and Managing Director of TRUMPF Werkzeugmaschinen, was honored for his personal commitment to linking teaching at KIT even more closely with research and practical applications.
